Nat19 Pre-Orders: 2025 Splash Book Camapign

Hey everyone, and welcome to 2026! Thank you so much for supporting us through this campaign! First of all, we think we'll do this each year to run a similar project for our splash books, so we hope to see everyone again next year when we do the same sort of campaign for 3-4 more books! In the meantime, however, I'll do my best to explain what our timeline looks like today, and answer some questions~!

The simplified timeline for everything explained below is:

Payment and Pledge Manager

By this point, most backers have been charged by BackerKit. Some of you may have had failed payments, so please check the status of your payments (I believe BackerKit will message you), and if you have problems, contact your banks and let them know the transaction is approved.

We're working to quickly get our Pledge Manager set up, which is where everyone will be able to confirm their orders, pick covers, include any new add-ons they want, and finalize their addresses/orders. Once we receive the campaign funds from BackerKit, we'll send out the Pledge Managers. Based on the timeline they gave us, this should be at most a couple of weeks from now.

PDF Timeline

PDFs for the splash books and the Lyre books will be sent out as soon as the Pledge Manager has been filled out by everyone. They will be delivered by DriveThruRPG. We predict this will be within a couple of weeks.

The PDFs for the Compendium will be sent out later, when the Compendium's content is complete! See the relevant section below.

Splash Book Timeline

As soon as everyone has been given time to fill out the Pledge Manager (we estimate about a week after we send it out), we'll estimate our print orders and send them out ASAP. As soon as we have all of the splash books in our inventory, we'll send messages out about shipping fees, collect those, and ship everything out. Our projection for this is March - April. If there are any hiccups (like our printers being slow), we'll keep everyone updated.

Our plan for shipping is that we will send out the splash books first, then the compendium as a separate shipment later. If this doesn't suit anyone, and if people want to receive them at the same time (though this combination of orders is rare), then please let us know when filling out your Pledge Manager!

Compendium Timeline

This may seem obvious, but the compendium is going to take a little longer than everything else. We're adding basically another splash book's worth of content to the compendium (the broad changes as we know will happen right now are listed below), as well as polishing the reincluded content. It might take a couple of months to round all of that off and get additional art elements made, at which point we'll put in our book orders and update everyone on how long those will take to get to you.

How Do You Select Alt Covers?

When you're filling out the Pledge manager, you will be given the option to pick the base covers or the alt covers for the books you pledged for/purchased as add-ons. Below is a graphic showing the base covers and alt covers for the splash books. The compendium's alt cover isn't complete yet, but we'll include it as a reference as soon as we're able. As a reminder, these covers will only be available through this campaign (with a very limited number that will be available on our website afterwards).

I'm just turning in for the night, but when I awaken in the new year I'll be sending out an update letting everyone know what to expect in the coming month in terms of the Pledge Manager and Compendium! Please know that you'll have another chance to add on any items you missed during the campaign or switch tiers when we get to the Pledge Manager~!

In the meantime, BackerKit will likely start trying to charge everyone for their orders. Make sure you check your Email to make sure it goes through. This is also our first time using BackerKit as our crowdfunding platform, so please bear with us as we experience this end of the process for the first time as well (it's not our first time using the Pledge Manager though, so no worries there!)

With one hour remaining, we have hit the goal for the alt cover for the compendium! The alt cover is still in production, so we don't have an example of it for you just yet, but the cover will be a campaign exclusive that will only be printed for this BackerKit campaign!

In the spirit of always having a stretch goal on the go, we've added one final 80k goal - making sets of dice unique to this campaign, which can be purchased through the pledge manager afterward. We don't expect to cover 5k in one hour, but stranger things have happened, and we must always aim further! 

Thanks to all of you, we've unlocked the hardcover option for the compendium! This will be the last new tier unlocked, so if you want a hardcover copy of it, please do so in your pledge and switch tiers up to the hardcover!
